POWERBALL TICKET WINNER
Ok, well first of all, you’re being a little hard on yourself. I do know what you’re talking about, and yes, you do exhibit some of these traits, but I think it’s just part of the human experience that you are noticing more these days because everything else is just… good?
We did have a stretch there where things were a lot more hard. Some tricky clients and business things, and ya know, the pandemic. So maybe it’s just that now the shit show tendencies that you speak of are highlighted because they aren’t in the mix with a bunch of other things that are bigger fires that more urgently need to be put out?
OR is it possible that there’s a bit of self sabotage thrown in there because everything else is correct in the world? Something has to be a little scrappy to keep things exciting. We wouldn’t be living IRL if everything just felt easy. If this is the actual thing… you should know that it would be ok for things to just be easy. It might be nice? IDK, try it, see how you feel.
But also you are who you are, LEAN IN.
Speaking of things being easy, when we were in the car the other day with our delightful third wheel (Sam), remember we were talking about what we would do if we had all the money? Like won-the-lottery style cash on hand. We both had some things that we would tweak. Like, I would refresh every inch of my home, and never cook again unless I wanted to.
I’ve added a few things to my list here for your consideration, but I do also think it needs to be said out loud that it feels like things are GOOD because neither of us had any enormous life changes that we would make as soon as we had the resources available. Know what I mean?
OK. If one of Greg’s powerball quick pick tickets hit, here’s my game plan:
House and garden renovation to put my spin on this cool house we live in.
Personal chef ASAP… I don’t mind cooking sometimes, but I want someone else to come up with the ideas and make sure I’m prepared to execute them. The mental load of dinner happening every night has got to go.
Winter getaways to the sun for extended periods of time so that my winter weight (emotional and physical) never has a chance to creep in.
Probably a boat.
Fully built out collection of Zimmermann that I can source from the current season, not all beg/borrow/steal from The Real Real and Ebay.
Only fly first class for ever and ever.
I think that’s really it! It’s just a few simple wishes. Doesn’t feel like too much to ask. So all in all, life is good.
Oh also, if one of us hits the megabucks, we should buy an office so that our pink couch has somewhere to live in perpetuity.
